Highlights of SS16 Fashion Show MK
Run Your Way took over Wonderworld MK on Friday night to celebrate forward thinking fashion, independent designers and the latest innovations in female style. The night was a huge success and we would like to thank every single one of our fashionistas who attended the show, as well as our incredible line up of designers, brands and amazing models.
At 6.30 the Run Your Way doors opened in to Wonderworld’s enchanting parlour. Our lovely guests were welcomed with a VIP champagne reception and canapés before heading through to our Inspiration Room where James Virgo, Graziosa, SuperDiva Jewellery, Gemma Mcerlane Fashion and Pink Avocet were ready and waiting.
At 7pm it was time for the show to begin and our beautiful host, Charlotte Rhodes, greeted our guests with her sensational vocals as she brought the party vibes with a number of popular renditions. Then it was time to introduce our designers and our models who rocked the outfits and wowed the audience…
First up was celebrity inspired high street brand Krisp with their favourite summer styles. Our girls had all eyes on them in their jumpsuits, LBD’s and killer heels as they strutted down the catwalk.
Next up, Gemma Mcerlane’s striking outfits were styled out on the runway. Her flowing hemlines and elegant two-piece garments looked awe-inspiring on the models and left the audience wanting more.
Then for The Dress Empire’s stunning collection. Our beautiful models looked ready for the red carpet as they glided down the runway in sparkling frocks and backless gowns – taking elegance to a whole new level.
Time for Fiyah – their silver jewellery collection looked seriously on point on our models, who rocked their unique range of rings, necklaces, earrings and bracelets against a simple black outfit.
Mammaw then took over with their ethnic vibes with their eye-catching African styles and the models transformed the stage in to an array of patterns colour.
The summer vibes kept rolling as Kathutu followed with another range of African inspired garments, including patterned dresses and two-pieces – the perfect addition to your summer wardrobe.
Then the girls went big and bold with Superdiva Jewellery, rocking the bright colours against their LBD’s and showing just how killer jewellery can transform an outfit.
Next came the avante-garde styles of Guinevre Launcelot – a pioneering Japanese inspired label bringing a look that screams forward thinking fashion.
TYT rounded up our incredible line of independent designers with their clean cut, minimalist jumpsuits and rompers, worn perfectly by our girls.
Last but not least our very own Xscape brands - Billabong, Oneil, Roxy, Volcom and Ripcurl were seamlessly styled out on our stunning models.As our dancers took to the stage for the big finale, the Tomorrow room at Wonderworld MK became one big party - the music was pumping and drinks flowing.
Our amazing audience were left feeling truly inspired by some of the most exciting trends of SS16 – and they bagged some fantastic discounts from our wonderful designers.
As GM Events first ever Run Your Way Fashion Show, we were extremely happy to see so many fashionistas as Wonderworld to celebrate our evening of fashion with us. The event was a shining success and with SS16 behind us we can now announce that our AW16 is coming soon and its going to be even bigger and better…
