Fashion Show MK A/W16 Review

Run Your Way took over WonderWorld MK once again on Friday night to celebrate forward thinking fashion, independent designers and the latest in winter style. The night was a huge success and we would like to thank every single one of our fashionistas who attended the show, as well as our incredible line up of designers, brands and models.

In true GM Events style, Fashion Show MK began with its trademark champagne reception accompanied by delicious canapés. As our guests flooded in to the enchanting ‘Tomorrow’ room at WonderWorld Milton Keynes, our designers were ready and waiting at their stands to give our guests a sneak peak of what to expect on the catwalk and chat to them before the show.

At 7.30 it was time for the entertainment to begin and our wonderful host for the evening, Daniella, took to the stage to get our audience ready for the show.

First up on the runway were the accessories….

James Virgo’s collection of eclectic fashion bowties was first to be modelled by our girls, who showed us just what these artistic creations could do to an outfit. The bowties were styled out against black dresses and leather jackets, each giving a distinctly unique look and feel to these stunningly unique accessories.

Next up the fashionistas must have sidekick, DBR bags, whose collection added a cosmopolitan flair and vibrant splash of colour to the catwalk. DBR showed our fashioniastas how a bag can transform a winter outfit; these are definitely a must have accessory this season.

The grand finale to our accessories section was GM Event’s very own sponsor, VITAE London Watches. These timeless pieces looked incredible on our girls, who modelled a variety of watch styles. Not only did our guests have the chance to see these stylish pieces on the runway and get their hands on one at the VITAE London stand, but they also had the chance to win their very own watch in the social media giveaway and raffle on the evening… announced in our second interval.

After the accessories had come to an end we let our guests re-hydrate at the bar and get their group snaps at the Flawless Photobooth whilst the GM events team headed round with the raffle tickets.

Then it was time for our clothing designers to take to the runway….

First up was Vandana with her collection of stunning Indian inspired dresses and Sari’s. Our guests were in awe as our models gracefully glided down the catwalk in these gorgeous works of art. The array of colour and sparkle along with the pure elegance and sophistication of these outfits was definitely a highlight of the night.

Up next, White Rabbit Apparel and their on trend pieces with an urban, rocky edge. Our models showed off the figure hugging velvet jumpsuits, punk inspired leather jackets and feather clad pencil skirts with sass and sparkle, enchanting our audience with this exciting, up and coming brand.

Then Rock those Frocks seriously rocked the catwalk with their bohemian styles. Our models looked ready for Glastonbury as they worked these trendy outfits down the runway whilst our DJ blasted the music.

At our second interval our raffle winners were announced, with our social media winner and one very lucky raffle winner getting their hands on a beautiful VITAE London watch.

Then for the final round of designers, starting with the inspiring Ana Lopez. Her awe-inspiring dresses blended sultry sophistication with gothic style to create a stunning collection of dresses that had all eyes fixed on our models.

Then for Maija, whose contemporary chic designs had the whole crowd talking. Our models looked straight out of Vogue as they strutted the catwalk in Maija’s oversized fits and fur-lined hems.

Finally, we ended the evening with the show-stopping eveningwear of Boutique Cholpon. Our models looked breath taking in the stunning designs of this high-end boutique brand. The intricate detail and beautiful fit of every dress oozed elegance, charm and sophistication. This was the perfect finale to an evening of incredible fashion.

Our amazing audience were once again left feeling truly inspired by some of the most exciting independent designers of SS16 – and they bagged some fantastic discounts from our wonderful designers.

As GM Events second ever Run Your Way Fashion Show, we were extremely happy to see so many fashionistas as WonderWorld to celebrate our evening of fashion. The event was a shining success and with AW16 behind us we can now announce that our 2017 show is coming soon and its going to be even bigger and better…
